Interview with Jeremy Fisher...

I hope all of you enjoyed yesterday's interview with Keenan Cummings, one of the founders of Wander.com. Today we have a great interview with Jeremy Fisher, who is another founder of Wander.com!

Jeremy is a really talented designer, a great photographer as well. I can't believe that I now, have interviews with both founders of Wander.com. I have high hopes for this company, and I know that you will enjoy this interview with...

Q.What was your first job? What was the first job you enjoyed?

A. The best jobs are the ones created for your self. In 4th grade, I made and sold birch bark drawer freshener in the winter and lemonade in the summer. It was fun, but not very profitable. I spent the summer after 9th grade as a freelance photographer for a local paper, shooting sports and human-interest pieces. I leveraged that into a photo-assisting gig for a wedding photographer, which paid a lot more. After a while, I started getting work on my own, shooting weddings, bar mitzvahs and sweet 16’s. I liked the work, but couldn’t see myself doing it forever.

Q.What is Wander?

A. Wander is a beautiful way to share and experience the world.

Q. What would an eighth grader have to do to get a job at Wander?

A. We’re interested in talented designers and developers regardless of age. The best way to showcase talent in those areas is by building a following and reputation on sites like GitHub, Stack Overflow and Dribble. For other positions it’s a bit harder, but these links offer a good approach:

Q. If you could have one superpower what would it be and what would you do with it?

A. I’d love to have Professor X’s powers, which I’d use to start a school for gifted youngsters.

Q. What computer do you use and why?

A. I’m a big fan of Apple products, which I find consistently well-designed. I use a MacBook Pro, but my next computer will be a MacBook Air.

Jeremy was so kind in this interview project, and I really appreciate it. Although I said it yesterday, I will say it again! Please check out Wander, it is going to be great and I want all of you to be a part of it. Thanks for reading, and thank you Jeremy!
