Interview with Sahil Lavingia...

Today's interview is with Sahil Lavingia. Sahil is a member of the founding team of Pinterest, a co-founder of Crate, and a founder of Gumroad. So as you can see this nineteen year old has done some seriously impressive things.

Here is the interview...

Q. What was it like being on the founding team of Pinterest?

A. It was a lot of fun. I learned a lot and got to contribute a ton to a product I think has improved many people's lives, which is exciting.

Q. What is Gumroad and why should an eighth grader use it?

A. Gumroad makes selling stuff as easy as sharing stuff. If you're creating stuff of value, you should have a means of selling it just like Twitter has given you a means to share it.

Q. What computer do you use and why?

A. I use a MacBook Pro because it is fun to use. 15" because I need the pixels but I will likely switch to an Air in the next year or so.

Q. What is your approach to creating great design?

A. Simple, fun products are the best designed. So I ask myself how simple and fun my products are.

Q. What can we expect from you in the future?

A. A better Gumroad!

Well that's it! I am really impressed by what Sahil has accomplished in only 19 years. I hope that when I am 19 I will have accomplished maybe half of what he has!
Thanks Sahil,
