Today we have a fantastic interview with Joel Flory, a great photographer and the co-founder of the Visual Supply Co. VSCO is a company that strives to create simple, easy, and well designed tools for the creative minds of our generation. Here is my interview with the "blacksmith" himself...

Q. How/Why/When was the Visual Supply Co. founded?

A. Visual Supply Company was founded in March of 2011 by myself and Greg Lutze. We started the business to create tools for the modern digital creative based on our own needs (mine being a photographer and Greg a designer).

Q. When will the VSCO sites product be up and available? What will it be like?

A. We just made an announcement regarding sites which you can read here: http://visualsupply.co/blog/vsco-sites-update Needless to say we want to share it with the world more than anything but we want it to be perfect.

Q. What can we expect from VSCO in the future?

A. You can expect products and services that are built around our commitment to excellence in serving digital creatives. We don't have anything specific to announce at this point but we have an amazing team of talented individuals working away on some amazing things that we can't wait to share with everyone.

Q. How could an eighth grader get involved in VSCO?

A. I would start by reading our journal http://visualsupply.co/journal and picking up VSCO Cam. You can post pics with the hashtag #vscocam and search twitter/instagram for others posting pics. A great community has sprung up around sharing #vscocam pics. We also recently had our first ever VSCO Gathering in San Francisco and we did a photo walk and the turnout was great so be sure to keep an eye out for more events like this as it is a great way to get connected.

Q. What is your favorite food?

A. I am a HUGE foodie so I could honestly go on forever on this topic but if I had to choose it would be the food of Charlie Hallowell (http://bootandshoeservice.com and http://www.pizzaiolooakland.com)

Well I am really looking forward to the launch of VSCO Sites! Here is the desktop background I designed for Joel!
